LinkedIn starts hiding AI-generated low-quality posts
LinkedIn has announced new steps to fight the flood of low-quality, AI-written posts. Users can now report such content by clicking the three-dot menu on a post and selecting 'Looks like AI spam.' Reported posts will be hidden from view, and the feedback will help the platform learn to automatically hide similar posts.
Data shows that one in four long-form posts over 250 words on social media is AI-generated, with LinkedIn being a major hotspot. In response, LinkedIn is no longer encouraging users to write full posts with its built-in AI tool, instead turning it into a basic proofreading helper. This change reflects a growing awareness that AI can't replace real human interaction.
