Manus splits from Meta, returns to independent operation

Manus announced on August 11 that it has left Meta and is operating independently again, continuing to serve millions of users worldwide. Due to regulatory requirements, data generated by some users on or after December 29, 2025 will be deleted between August 23 and 24, 2026. Affected users will be notified via the app and email.

The company has built tools for data backup and recovery. Affected users can back up their data until August 23, 2026, 07:59 Beijing time, and restore it starting August 25, 08:00. Accounts will be inaccessible during the backup window closure. After going independent, Manus will store data in the U.S. and Singapore, and offer rewards to users who restore their data.
