Meituan open-sources trillion-parameter AI model LongCat-2.0 for coding tasks

Meituan has open-sourced its trillion-parameter AI model LongCat-2.0. It has 1.6 trillion total parameters and activates about 48 billion on average. The model is built for real-world coding tasks. It uses special attention and embedding techniques to handle long text and improve code understanding. It was trained and tested on a cluster of 50,000 domestic chips, the first for a model this size. The open-source release includes multiple precision versions like BF16 and INT8, so it can run on different hardware, even older chips.
