Meta Partners with Amazon AWS to Deploy Tens of Millions of Graviton Cores for AI Infrastructure
Meta recently reached a cooperation agreement with Amazon AWS to deploy AWS Graviton processors on a large scale, building infrastructure for next-generation AI technology. Meta will first deploy tens of millions of Graviton cores, and later expand flexibly based on the growth of AI capabilities. The cooperation period is three to five years, making Meta one of AWS's top five Graviton customers.
As Agentic AI rises, tasks like real-time reasoning and code generation increasingly demand more CPU power. The Graviton5 chip uses 3nm process technology, has 192 cores, 5x more cache than the previous generation, 35% lower core communication latency, and higher bandwidth. Additionally, Amazon's AWS Nitro solution allows Meta to run its own virtual machines without interference.
