Microsoft Launches Free Voice Input Tool Vibing, Rivaling Paid Product WisprFlow
Tired of paying for voice input tools? Microsoft just released Vibing, a free desktop voice tool supporting macOS and Windows. Press a shortcut to activate recording in any app, and it auto-converts to text after finishing. AI/ML community reviewers say it's accurate and fast, a great free alternative to paid WisprFlow.
Vibing does more than voice-to-text: it uses LLM to rewrite spoken words into formal text and allows natural language edits. It also supports 5+ minute continuous recording, 50+ language recognition, mixed Chinese-English input, custom hotwords, and real-time translation.
The underlying VibeVoice model is open-source under MIT license, with over 28k GitHub stars, including ASR, TTS, and real-time models. Microsoft enters the same track as paid WisprFlow with free and open-source Vibing.
