Microsoft lifts Microslop keyword filter on Copilot Discord server

Microsoft has lifted the automatic filter on the word "Microslop" in its official Copilot Discord server. The term was created by some Windows 10 and Windows 11 users to express frustration over Microsoft's aggressive Copilot rollout, with related discussions surging from late 2025 to early 2026.

Microsoft blocked the keyword in the Copilot Discord server in March 2026, and sending content containing it triggered moderation warnings. About six months later, the word has reappeared in the channel, with more than 200 records now searchable.

Windows chief Pavan Davuluri previously said Microsoft would more carefully decide where Copilot is integrated in Windows, reducing Copilot entry points in apps like Snipping Tool, Photos, Widgets and Notepad. Microsoft also stopped automatically installing the Microsoft 365 Copilot app in Windows 11 in March while keeping some AI features.
