Microsoft Shows Off Third-Party AI Agents at Surface Event
Microsoft showed off several third-party AI agent tools at its Surface event, bringing these agents closer to everyday Windows use.
Perplexity's "portable computer" tool can run complex AI tasks right on the device, so users don't use up Perplexity cloud credits. Pavan Davuluri, who leads Microsoft's Windows and devices team, said Meta's Muse agent will come to Windows as a native app with the MXC SDK built in.
Microsoft will also add a new "getting started" guide in Windows to make it easier to set up and run AI agents. OpenClaw will roll out a native Windows gateway too, so users can use related tools locally.
