Microsoft upgrades Copilot Notebooks with chat and creation in one place

Microsoft is upgrading Copilot Notebooks, a digital notebook in Microsoft 365 Copilot that helps users organize project materials, work with AI, and create content. The new layout puts chat, creation, and references all in one place, so users don't have to switch between different areas.

The update also expands what content can be added: Frontier users can now include Teams meeting transcripts, notes, chats, and shared files, as well as web URLs. Outlook emails will be supported soon, letting users pull email threads for AI to answer questions.

On the output side, Copilot Notebooks now generates Excel spreadsheets, in addition to Office documents, presentations, audio summaries, mind maps, and study guides. Microsoft says infographic generation is coming soon for Frontier users.
