Midjourney V8 Open Beta: Image Generation Speed Up 5x, Native 2K Resolution Support

AI image generation platform Midjourney recently opened the Alpha test of its V8 model to the community, allowing users to experience the new version via alpha.midjourney.com. The V8 version brings multiple upgrades, including about 5x faster image generation, a new --hd mode for native 2K resolution rendering, improved text rendering (add quotes to prompts to generate text), and more accurate understanding of detailed prompts. Additionally, personalization, style reference and other functions are fully upgraded and backward compatible with V7 configurations. The interface is updated simultaneously, adding a dialogue mode for natural language interaction, Grid Mode for batch image generation, and moving the settings panel to the sidebar to reduce obstruction. In terms of pricing, modes like --hd have 1/4 the generation speed of regular tasks and cost 4x as much. Relax mode is temporarily not supported, and the team says it is building a new server cluster.
