MiniMax CEO Yan Junjie takes no salary until AGI is achieved

MiniMax founder and CEO Yan Junjie sent an internal letter saying he will stop taking any salary from now until the company achieves Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). This move shows his strong commitment to the long-term goal.

He also plans to give away 4% of his personal shares in the company over the next four years to reward long-term employees, and another 1% to create a special fund to support the open-source community.

Yan Junjie, born in 1989, previously worked at Baidu Research and SenseTime. He left in late 2021 and founded MiniMax in Shanghai in early 2022, focusing on AGI development.
