Moonshot AI teases Kimi K3 model with preview videos

Moonshot AI released preview videos on Bilibili, X, and Xiaohongshu on July 15, hinting at a new Kimi K3 model. A number 3 appears at around 4 seconds in the video. A model codenamed Kivine has appeared on Arena.ai, possibly linked to Kimi K3. Users also shared comparison screenshots between Kimi K3 and Claude Fable 5, as well as GPT-5.6-Sol. Moonshot AI previously launched Kimi K2 in July 2025 (open-source, MoE architecture, 1T total parameters), and Kimi K2.6 in April 2026 (supporting up to 300 sub-agents). The Kimi K2 API was retired in May 2026. This new teaser shows Moonshot AI's fast update cycle in AI models.
