Moonshot's Kimi K3.1 Model Spotted in API Backend, Supports 1M Token Context Window

Several developers have spotted a "kimi-k3-1" identifier in the backend model registry of Moonshot AI's API platform. The model passed interface detection and can be called. Later, Kimi's official open platform also showed a preview for the K3.1 or K3 11111 model.

Kimi K3.1 is expected to support a context window of up to 1 million tokens, with three reasoning intensity options: Low, High, and Max. It may also introduce Agent mode, Swarm multi-agent collaboration, and task modes like search and batch processing.

Developers suggest the multiple reasoning levels may correspond to different compute resource allocations and billing models. Kimi's open platform shows K3.1's API pricing is the same as the current K3, though it could be a placeholder.
