Musk Follows DeepSeek on X, Highlighting China's AI Progress

On August 1, Elon Musk followed DeepSeek on X, after the company launched its V4-Flash API, which got a lot of attention for being cost-effective. In a July 23 interview with The Economist, Musk said China is strong in AI and could become a leader. He praised DeepSeek and Kimi K3 from Moonshot AI. He thinks China has a big edge in AI, with electricity supply being key.
