Musk Teases Grok 4.7 Launch for September 12

Elon Musk announced on X that the Grok 4.7 model will launch on September 12, 2026. With 2.1 trillion parameters, it's a 40% increase over Grok 4.6. Musk says Grok 4.7 is better in every way except slightly slower, and more token-efficient.

Earlier, Cognition said Grok 4.6 beat GPT-5.6 Sol, trailing only Opus 5 and Fable 5. Musk shared that and claimed Grok 4.7 will surpass all existing models, showing his ambition in AI.
