New Microsoft Copilot icon spotted, moving to flat design

Microsoft is testing a new Copilot icon, which was spotted in the Edge Canary browser. The new icon keeps the same colors and shape but removes the 3D shadow effect, making it flatter and simpler.

This change follows the tech industry's trend toward flat design. The new icon has also appeared in Microsoft 365 apps, but Microsoft hasn't announced when it will officially launch.

Users @Leopeva64 and @minto494 shared their findings on X, suggesting Microsoft is gradually rolling out this design update.
