Nous Research launches Profile Builder for easy web-based agent setup

Nous Research has released Profile Builder for Hermes Agent, turning scattered command-line settings into a web-based visual tool. It makes setting up AI agent roles much easier without manual config editing.

Users access it via the Hermes dashboard, defaulting to a local address. The setup has five visual steps: identity & description, model & provider, skill toggles, Skills Hub installation, and MCP server config. Skills are stored as SKILL.md files, so the agent only loads full text when a task matches, keeping requests efficient.

MCP servers support both HTTP URLs and local stdio commands, with one-click install for approved directories. Hermes Agent learns user habits and builds a skill library over time, earning it the nickname "AI horse training" in China.
