NVIDIA in talks with Mitsubishi Heavy on AI data center tech
NVIDIA is looking into working with Japan's Mitsubishi Heavy Industries on AI data center technology. The plan is to use Mitsubishi's cooling and energy management systems in NVIDIA's next-gen data centers. These centers are being built as "AI factories."
Mitsubishi is also developing its own AI data center called "DIAVAULT," with a focus on liquid cooling. NVIDIA's CEO Jensen Huang has said that data centers will be the basic unit of computing in the future. Earlier, NVIDIA also announced a $100 billion deal with OpenAI to build AI infrastructure.
