Nvidia Partners with Australian Cloud Providers to Build AI Factories Reaching 2GW by 2027
Nvidia announced partnerships with several Australian cloud providers and AI infrastructure companies to expand land, power, and data center space needed for multi-generation AI factories. Partners including Firmus, Sharon AI, IREN, ResetData, Megaport, CDC, NEXTDC, and AirTrunk will adopt the NVIDIA DSX architecture, aiming to build up to 2GW of data center AI factory capacity by 2027.
Raj Mirpuri, Nvidia's VP of Global AI Cloud and Infrastructure Ecosystem, said AI factories turn energy into intelligence, which is a critical resource for the AI economy. NVIDIA DSX is a full-stack platform compatible with the CUDA ecosystem and can be continuously upgraded through software over the infrastructure's lifecycle, making AI factories more productive and durable.
The partnership will support multiple generations of Nvidia computing technology and expand local access to accelerated computing and the NVIDIA Nemotron open model in Australia, helping local innovators build AI domestically.
