NVIDIA's next data center CPU 'Rosa' will use 'Rigel' core design
NVIDIA announced in a blog post that its next data center CPU 'Rosa' will use a new core design codenamed 'Rigel'. This processor follows the 'Vera' CPU and is part of the 'Feynman' generation, expected to launch in 2028.
The 'Rigel' core supports Arm v9.2 instructions, offering better single-core performance than the previous 'Olympus' core while keeping the same size. Key improvements include more efficient instruction delivery, larger L2 cache, and better memory management for data center efficiency.
