Nvidia ships over 2.5 million Grace chips, accelerates CPU roadmap
Nvidia is speeding up its CPU plans to become a bigger full-stack system provider. VP Ian Buck says the company has shipped 'hundreds of thousands' of Grace standalone servers, with over 2.5 million Grace chips delivered so far.
Grace is Nvidia's first in-house CPU for data centers, built on Arm architecture for high-performance computing and AI tasks. The next-gen Vera CPU is expected to outperform Grace significantly. To meet growing demand from Agentic AI, Nvidia is working with over 300 global partners to ensure supply.
Hardware engineering SVP Andrew Bell says Nvidia has about 12 manufacturing partners and can produce 1,000 Vera racks daily. At that rate, quarterly revenue could hit at least $630 billion. The Vera Rubin rack, designed as a basic unit for 'AI factories', handles large-scale Agentic AI workloads.
