OpenAI Codex becomes a general productivity tool for businesses with six new plugins

OpenAI is turning Codex from a coding tool into a general productivity platform for everyone. Today, they announced three new business-focused features and said Codex will be added to all versions of ChatGPT in the coming weeks. This will help business users see how the two tools work together.

OpenAI also launched six new Codex plugins for sales, data analysis, creative production, product design, public equity investing, and investment banking. These plugins connect to tools like Salesforce, Figma, Snowflake, and Moody's to help teams quickly create reports, marketing materials, and investment plans.

Codex now also has two new workplace features: annotation and site generation. With annotation, users can select specific parts of their work and ask Codex to make changes without starting over. Site generation lets companies quickly build interactive websites or apps that teams can share and collaborate on.
