OpenAI Cuts GPT-5.6 Sol API Prices by Up to 33%

OpenAI announced it will cut prices for its GPT-5.6 Sol model's API and credits by over 20% in the next three months. The cost per million input tokens drops from $5 to $4, a 20% cut, and output from $30 to $20, a 33% cut. Cached input and write fees are now $0.4 and $5, with long-context fees also reduced. The new pricing is live on the API and rolling out to ChatGPT Work and Codex credits users, while Pro, Plus, and Business plans stay unchanged.
