OpenAI Hits 1 Billion Monthly Users and 2 Million Business Clients

OpenAI announced on July 31 that its models have reached over 1 billion active users and more than 2 million businesses. After six weeks of using ChatGPT, users send about 50% more messages daily and complete twice as many types of work. ChatGPT Work is shifting from answering questions to executing tasks, handling complex multi-step jobs and reshaping knowledge work. Earlier, OpenAI cut prices for GPT-5.6 Terra and Luna models to lower costs for businesses and developers. OpenAI says the value of AI infrastructure is creating possibilities for users, and it will keep reducing costs and improving intelligence to benefit more people.
