OpenAI launches Codex referral program, free usage for inviting friends

OpenAI has launched a referral program for Codex. Over the next two weeks, users who invite friends to join and send their first message will get one rate limit reset they can use anytime.

Codex is an AI coding assistant from OpenAI designed to help developers write code more efficiently. This program aims to grow its user base and boost usage.

Users can share invite links to participate. Each successful invite gives a rate limit reset for higher usage frequency. OpenAI hasn't specified if there's a limit on invites.
