OpenAI Releases ChatGPT App for Linux
OpenAI has launched a Linux version of its ChatGPT app, now in public preview. It supports Ubuntu, Debian, and Fedora, with both x64 and ARM64 packages. You can download it from the official docs page, but it's not on the main download page yet. The installer is quite large—around 374MB for deb and 420MB for rpm. Once installed, updates will come through apt or dnf. The app currently uses XWayland, but you can switch to native Wayland by adding a terminal flag. Also, it doesn't support Computer Use yet, only browser control, but that's coming later.
