OpenAI's Revenue Growth Strong, Expected to Exceed $40 Billion by 2026

According to Bloomberg, OpenAI is performing well before its IPO, with annualized revenue expected to exceed $40 billion by 2026, double the $20 billion projected for 2025. Co-founder Greg Brockman told employees that monthly revenue growth exceeded 20% in July alone.

To stay competitive, OpenAI is cutting prices on some AI models to attract developers and has hired a veteran cybersecurity executive to boost enterprise sales. While Anthropic reported $47 billion in annualized revenue in May, Bloomberg noted that differences in calculation methods make direct comparisons difficult.
