OWC Launches Stack AI Thunderbolt 5 Accelerator for Local AI Work Memory Expansion
Other World Computing (OWC) announced the OWC Stack AI, a Thunderbolt 5 AI accelerator and storage hub. It will debut at COMPUTEX 2026 in Taipei and launch in Q4 2026.
The Stack AI uses high-speed flash to expand GPU working memory, allowing local devices to run AI workloads that need more memory than the built-in VRAM can provide. This makes it possible to run larger AI models locally. The solution is similar to Phison's aiDAPTIV+, with more details to come.
It features one Thunderbolt 5 upstream port with 60W output, three Thunderbolt 5 downstream ports, and three USB-A 10Gbps ports.
