Patreon blocks AI training crawlers with Cloudflare

Patreon, a platform for creators, has teamed up with Cloudflare to block all bots that scrape data for AI training. This move protects creators' content from being used without payment.

Patreon uses a mix of paid and free content. The paywall already stops AI companies from accessing paid content. With more free content being shared, the new rule adds extra protection.

Early tests show that AI training bots' attempts to access Patreon dropped from thousands per week to zero.
