PS3 Open Source Emulator RPCS3 Team Releases New Rules Banning AI-Generated Code Submissions
PS3 open-source emulator RPCS3 recently updated its code submission rules, explicitly banning contributors from using autonomous AI agents to submit code. The new rules require all Pull Request initiators to have full understanding and ownership of the code they submit.
The team previously warned developers on X platform to stop adding "AI garbage code" and threatened to ban persistent violators. Recently, untested AI-generated code has increased, wasting time and potentially damaging system functions. While AI can be used for research or reverse engineering, the final submitted content must be completed by humans, and if AI is used for assistance, its role and manual review details must be stated in the PR description.
