Qualcomm and ByteDance team up on custom AI chips

Qualcomm has reportedly partnered with ByteDance on custom AI chips. ByteDance will buy millions of these chips from Qualcomm to power its AI services. The deal will also help ByteDance turn its chip designs into ready-to-use semiconductors. Qualcomm had earlier said it would deliver its first custom chip to a big cloud provider this year, with analysts naming ByteDance and Amazon as clients.
