Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon to Talk AI Agent Era at COMPUTEX 2026
COMPUTEX 2026 in Taipei kicks off on June 2, focusing on AI at scale. Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon will give a keynote on June 1 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. Amon previously called 2026 the "Year of AI Agents," predicting agent devices will go mainstream by 2027-2028, growing from tens of millions to hundreds of millions, reaching billions in five years.
Qualcomm is building a dual-engine AI ecosystem: "Personal AI" and "Physical AI." For personal devices, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, Snapdragon Wear Platform, and Snapdragon X2 series power phones, wearables, and PCs. For physical AI, the Ride platform drives industrial gear and cars—over 400 million vehicles use Snapdragon Digital Chassis. Qualcomm also launched the AI200 rack-scale system for data centers, set for 2026 deployment. Amon says agents won't replace phones but will work across devices, becoming the center of digital life.
