Rapidus and Cadence team up to cut chip design time in half
Rapidus, a Japanese advanced semiconductor maker, is working with chip design tool giant Cadence to bring AI into chip design. They want to use AI agents to speed up the design of system-on-chips (SoCs) for advanced manufacturing.
Rapidus added two new tools to its AI-assisted design lineup: Raads Navigator and Raads Indicator. These tools work with Cadence's InnoStack AI Super Agent to automatically handle tasks from early design exploration to final checks.
The goal is to use data-driven optimization to make complex chip design more predictable and efficient. Rapidus aims to cut chip design turnaround time in half.
