Shanghai Stock Exchange supports AI companies to go public
Shanghai Stock Exchange released new rules to help AI companies with big models list on the STAR Market, even if they don't have steady revenue yet. These companies can use the fifth set of listing standards, and their tech must be part of China's national innovation plan, focusing on developing, serving, or using AI models.
To qualify, companies need to be leaders in AI, have clear market targets, and show strong demand for their products. They must also have at least one AI model that's already live and used widely—this proves the business model works.
The exchange says it will work with China's securities regulator to push forward listings for AI companies that meet these standards, aiming to support tech firms with key breakthroughs and help the AI industry grow with capital support.
