Shanghai tests robot-assisted city management with human-machine teamwork
Shanghai's Pudong New Area launched China's first pilot of human-machine collaborative city management law enforcement on May 20 at Zhangjiang AI Innovation Town. Led by the Pudong Urban Management Bureau, a drone system first spotted a violation, then alerted both on-site officers and the Zhiyuan Lingxi X2 robot. The robot joined officers on site, handling tasks like legal education, policy explanation, and answering questions. It offers broad knowledge and objective communication, making issue detection faster and interactions more acceptable to shop owners. This pilot shows the real-world potential of human-robot teamwork in city management.
