Shantou Completes China's First City-level Token Export Closed-loop Verification, Opening New Chapter for China's Intelligent Computing Resource Export

Shantou has successfully completed China's first city-level full-link closed-loop verification for Token export, marking China's entry into the substantive implementation phase of Token export. As the smallest computing unit for large models to process information, Token is becoming the core measurement indicator of intelligent computing capabilities and a new value carrier for the digital economy.

Previously, Token export mostly stayed at the level of overseas model deployment, but this time Shantou has realized the conversion of domestic electricity and computing power into tradable digital service exports through large models. Relying on the submarine cable landing station and the 'incoming data processing' pilot policy, it has solved the two major pain points of cross-border latency and data flow obstacles.

Next, Shantou will promote the construction of intelligent computing infrastructure, explore the model of offshore wind power directly connected to data centers, and build an international data exchange hub relying on policy support, aiming to become the preferred destination for Token export.
