Smart Chemical Engineering Model 3.0 Pro Launched, Moving from Q&A to Task Execution
The Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, together with iFlytek and Alibaba Cloud, released the Smart Chemical Engineering Model 3.0 Pro on August 31. This is the latest version of China's first chemical industry large model, upgrading from a "professional Q&A" to a "task execution system" that can plan, execute, and verify complex tasks.
The model uses a four-layer structure: large model, agents, tools, and scenarios. It integrates over 400 chemical agents and tools, trained on billions of tokens of professional data. Tests show text Q&A accuracy is 81.96%, and multimodal Q&A accuracy is 80.75%, with overall scores up 20.2% and 31.4% compared to version 3.0.
Over 300 chemical companies, universities, and research institutes have registered, with API calls exceeding 14 million. The institute also built China's first full-chain petrochemical data center and a 1,000-ton intelligent pilot platform. Future version 4.0 will use methanol-to-olefins as a test case to bridge lab and factory.
