South Korea to Offer Free AI Services for Daily Tasks
South Korea plans to offer free AI services to all citizens for daily tasks like booking doctor appointments, finding housing, and getting tax help. The "All for AI" program starts beta testing in September and expands later this year, led by two telecom companies and Kakao, the country's biggest internet platform.
This AI service will connect with government systems, letting people book doctors, search apartments, and get tax advice. Small businesses can calculate taxes and learn about benefits, while parents get education recommendations. Three tech groups will launch their own AI apps and add AI to existing products. There will be no limits on usage or tokens.
To help with costs, the government will provide up to 512 Nvidia B200 chips to companies. A survey earlier this year showed about a quarter of South Koreans would pay for AI services.
