StepFun to launch AI agent phone, leading global AI model makers

StepFun announced it will launch a new generation of AI agent devices, including an AI terminal brand, agent system, and its first AI agent phone. It is the first global AI model maker to deliver an AI agent phone. The phone will be manufactured by Chinese company Huaqin Technology, with a deep partnership between the two. Founded in 2023 by former Microsoft executive Jiang Daxin, StepFun focuses on AI large models and previously released the Step series and apps like Yuewen and Bubble Duck. The company has also worked with OPPO on AI phone features and with Geely on AI for cars. MediaTek showcased a partnership to deploy StepFun's ACE-Step music model on devices, with plans to expand to cross-device experiences.
