Tencent Cloud opens first region in Malaysia, boosting AI

Tencent Cloud has opened its first cloud region in Johor, Malaysia, with three availability zones initially. It connects to a global network covering 23 regions and 66 availability zones, meeting local demand for cloud and AI services.

Tencent also showcased new AI solutions to help businesses deploy AI in production. The desktop AI agent WorkBuddy, with over 100 skills, can handle market research, data analysis, and project planning.

Tencent is partnering with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia to train over 1,000 AI talents, and working with local partners like Boost and Genting Plantations Group to boost AI adoption.
