Tencent Games upgrades AI anti-addiction system with voice and age recognition

Tencent Games has announced an upgrade to its anti-addiction system for minors, introducing a new "AI dual-engine" model. This includes an AI-powered guardian tool outside games and an AI patrol inside games to better manage playtime. Outside games, parents can chat with AI to easily control their child's account. Inside games, the system uses voice recognition, age detection, and other AI methods to catch people trying to trick the system by using someone else's face or account. Tencent is also offering a family account service where parents can call a hotline to manage all family accounts after identity verification. These steps aim to better follow national rules on preventing gaming addiction.
