Tencent Hunyuan Optimizes Hy4 Preview Model to Cut Task Steps and Token Use

Tencent Hunyuan and WorkBuddy teams recently announced a full rollout of optimizations for the Hy4 preview model, targeting issues like long thinking and over-validation in complex tasks. Using Bench metrics and human evaluation, the update cuts task steps and token usage without losing performance.

The Hy4 preview, released on August 28, has 770B total parameters, 49B active, and a 1M context length. Officials say it expands in size, context, and data, boosting intelligence and keeping it among top open-source models.
