Tencent launches Hunyuan Hy3 model for free in Yuanbao

Tencent officially launched the Hunyuan Hy3 model today, making it free in its Yuanbao app. Users can open Yuanbao, choose deep or quick thinking mode, and use Hy3's full features without paying. Hy3 improves on the preview version with better training data quality and diversity, plus more computing power for reinforcement learning. It shows big gains in reasoning, agent tasks, and long context, matching larger models that are 2-5 times its size. The model excels in productivity tasks like software development, office work, finance modeling, frontend design, and game making. In a blind test with 270 experts, Hy3 scored 2.67 out of 4, beating GLM5.1's 2.51, especially in frontend, data storage, and CI/CD areas, making it a cost-effective choice.
