Tencent QClaw to Shut Down by End of 2026, Users Can Migrate to WorkBuddy
Tencent's QClaw, a WeChat remote office AI assistant, has announced it will officially shut down on December 24, 2026 at 00:00 due to business adjustments. New user registration and subscription purchases/renewals stop immediately, but existing users can continue using the service until the shutdown date.
Users can back up configurations, memories, Agent personas, and chat records locally through the built-in backup tool, or migrate data to WorkBuddy via the official website's "Migrate to WorkBuddy" entry. Starting March 24, 2027, Tencent will delete all user data as required by law.
Users who complete valid data migration will receive 1,000 WorkBuddy points valid for one month. QClaw was built by Tencent's PC Manager team based on OpenClaw, launched beta testing in March this year, and supports WeChat remote file organization and complex task execution for office, creative, and development scenarios.
When you want a private AI companion that feels more open, expressive, and truly under your control, this lets you chat and create without restrictions getting in the way.
