Tencent's Hunyuan Hy3 model faces heavy traffic, emergency expansion completed

Tencent's Hunyuan Hy3 model, open-sourced on July 6, launched on the WorkBuddy platform and quickly gained popularity. Starting at 10 a.m. on July 8, computing resources hit peak usage, causing queues, with over 50% of users waiting in line by afternoon.

To maintain stable service, the team urgently expanded capacity, now completed. Hy3 uses MoE architecture with 295B total parameters, 21B active parameters, and supports 256K context length. It shows major improvements in reasoning, agents, and long-context tasks, matching the performance of larger flagship models.
