Tencent's WorkBuddy free education version now open to teachers in China

Tencent's SSV team has launched the free education version of WorkBuddy for teachers across China. After signing up, each teacher gets 2,000 points every month for 12 months, with no limits on region or grade level.

More than 100,000 teachers have applied so far, covering 45,000 schools in 1,467 cities, and points are being delivered now.

Tencent worked with Peking University and Beijing Normal University to turn teaching research into over 100 AI experts that teachers can use directly, covering lesson design, courseware, teaching methods, and student psychology.

The tool will later connect with Tencent Docs and ima. Points refill automatically on the first of each month, and free models remain available when points run out, so teaching never stops.
