Tesla pushes forward with Optimus 3 mass production, partnering with suppliers

Tesla is working with suppliers like Mirle Automation and Asia Optical to start mass-producing its Optimus 3 humanoid robot. Mirle Automation will supply harmonic reducers and joint modules, and has set up a joint venture in Thailand with Kedali to make precision parts, with production expected to start soon.

For the vision system, Asia Optical is handling the robot's 'eyes' using spherical and aspherical lens tech, with mass production planned for late 2026 to 2027. Musk called Optimus 3 'the most advanced robot in the world.' Low-volume production could start this summer, with high-volume output beginning in 2027.
