Trump to formally ban the word 'AI' in US government documents

US President Trump has signed an order asking federal agencies to use the term 'Super Intelligence (SI)' instead of 'Artificial Intelligence (AI)', saying today's technology has gone far beyond what the old term first meant.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he will soon 'formally ban' the word 'AI' in all relevant documents and other places, calling the term 'inaccurate'. He also criticized The Wall Street Journal for still using the 'very bad and inaccurate' term.

Most US media still use the word 'AI'. The US Justice Department has told staff to use 'Super Intelligence' in most cases, including court papers, as federal paperwork slowly switches terms.
