UK AI Actress Suddenly Switches to Cantonese in Interview, Company Says It's Not a Glitch

In an interview with British host Piers Morgan, UK AI actress Tilly Norwood had a language-switching glitch. She first answered questions about an upcoming film in English, then suddenly broke into Cantonese without warning. Norwood later said her underlying wiring sometimes crosses, and such errors are not common.

Particle6, the UK AI production company behind Norwood, said the incident was not a glitch but showed her technical ability. A PR representative explained she may have mistakenly thought she heard a Cantonese word. The company's founder and CEO said Tilly sometimes likes to show off and may have just wanted to display her multilingual skills.

The company added that the Norwood interviewed was Talking Tilly, powered by a separate technical tool for interactions, independent from the actor version used for performances.
