WeChat AI is testing, letting developers choose how to connect

WeChat's developer team announced today that WeChat AI is in testing. This AI assistant runs inside WeChat, helping users with natural language conversations and tasks like using mini-programs.

Developers have two options to connect: Auto mode reads mini-program code during review with no extra work needed, letting the AI operate directly. Development mode lets developers build custom features, which work after passing review. Both can be used together.

The name "WeChat AI" might change, as the terms say the final name will be different. Joining is optional and won't affect existing mini-program services. The feature is already visible in mini-program management pages.
