WeChat's Independent AI Model Unveiled: Launch This Year and Integrate with Mini-Program Ecosystem

Tencent's WeChat is developing an independent AI model, which has completed basic capability building and internal code naming, and is expected to launch in 2026. The model will integrate with WeChat's mini-program ecosystem to support various AI agents and explore deeply embedded social scenarios later. Additionally, Tencent is conducting internal tests for QClaw, a local AI assistant—users can remotely control computers via WeChat to perform tasks like spreadsheet summation and file transfer, covering over 5000 skills to boost office efficiency.
